Should we boycott Black Friday and Cyber Monday? 🤔

I’ve been seeing a lot of posts about boycotting these two days, and while this may surprise you, I am not sure I 100% agree. Why? Because life just isn’t that black and white.

Sure, these two days are rooted in fostering unconscious consumerism and capitalism, but like anything, we can approach these two days with mindfulness, integrity, and intention.

There is no shame in taking advantage of holiday sales for sustainable and ethical companies that you absolutely love and support— ESPECIALLY if you are on a tight budget. I’ll speak from personal experience... sales help me tremendously live in alignment with my values and goals. I love making gifts for people, and I also love purchasing gifts that are sourced in alignment with my lifestyle. If I can find those kinds of gifts at a price that suites my budget... I am happy lass!

As we quickly approach these two days, my advice is this: support local, support small businesses, and check in with yourself before making a purchase and ask “do I really need this? How much will I use this?”.
